Paul and his friendly staff at Off The Hook provide you with a wide range of tasty meals, including good old fashioned fish and chips for the whole family to enjoy on the beautiful Town Green on the Hastings River.
The school holidays are here … and what better way to enjoy the beautiful views at Town Green and the Hastings river than with good ol’ fashioned fish and chips from Off The Hook.
Paul, how long have you owned and operated Off the Hook?
I have been the proud owner and manager here now for four and a half years.
What does a typical day for you hold? Drop the kids off at school, and then it’s straight into the shop for preparation … cut and fillet fish, make up salads in readiness for another busy day and oversee the operation of the store.
Introduce us to your friendly team …
We are lucky to have a great group of friendly staff. Our team leaders are Amee (Store Manager) Mitch, Tina and Helen, who have a wealth of experience. Bernie, Troy, Sarah, Jaimee, Dani, Annie, Lauren and Drew have developed great customer skills, and I have recently added my nieces Bree and Brooke to the staff, to add to our family friendly store.
What does Off the Hook have to offer?
Quality fish and chips at competitive prices.
We have our popular $9.90 deal on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights (two fillets of fish and chips).
We also have good old fashioned Aussie burgers and our fresh fish range, including Jewfish.
What is it about fish and chips on the water that is so popular with families and friends?
There is nothing better than a lazy afternoon with the family, especially at Port’s best kept secret, the Town Green. With the river as our backyard, Off The Hook is in Port’s premier position to take advantage of a fun family day.
Telephone orders are available and also EFTPOS facilities.
